Thanks so much! Yes, the challenge has been an absolute whirlwind. I've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen, and will be the first to admit that I haven't done all the tasks. There were just too many AND it would have been way more food than I could have eaten. But I'm looking forward to continuing through the ones I missed over the next several weeks (kombucha, water kefir, cheese making, maybe even eating some offal - eek!).

Good luck with your sourdough starter! It's my favorite of all my kitchen pets so far :).

Love your blog on this. I wanted to follow the challenge, but it's moving too fast. I will have to take it a little at a time. I got a sourdough starter from a friend though. It will be ready to use tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

I'm really impressed by this experiment. I also liked the "Bridget Jones-esque" posting style. ;-) Good luck with it!

Yeah... that part was brutal. And I totally thought, "What am I supposed to eat in the meantime??" It's definitely going to be an educational couple of weeks!

Thank you for stopping by! I'm going to retry the flatbread (nothing but rye) with this batch, but also try one of the recipes with added flour and yeast. Hoping for edibility this time!

I'm impressed. I read before about you having to empty out your pantry, and couldn't even make myself follow the link. I'm really looking forward to reading about your next three weeks though.

LOVE your honest approach to this challenge! I'm sprouting rye right now (going to mill it into flour). I bet the wet-milled bread would be a good use of that rye ... haven't tried it with rye, though.
